Most new development will come from young researchers. The young researchers sessions have three advantages:

• it disseminates your research, and you reach out to others than those in your specific expert area. For example, that could end up in that you could be part of proposals where a consortium needs to have the complementary steps by partners.

• it is a way to showcase your expertize and professional profile for potential position at industry or postdoc. There will be many applicants when there is an open position. It is challenging to judge the professional behaviour from a CV. Here you have a chance to link directly or strenghten your industrial network. Many jobs come from the network contacts. You will also be part of Dr. Syväjärvis network. As he is bridge builder and technology agent in various partnerships, he can recommend those who make good presentation and discussion.

• it builds personal network with other presenters thanks to the interactive format

The presentations should be about half of the time for presentation and half of the time for discussion (total time 20 minutes). By a well prepared powerpoint and having a professional discussion, you are actually making advertisment of yourself. It shows that you can:

(i) create a well prepared presentation powerpoint

(ii) conduct a skilled presentation

(iii) have a professional discussion
