Travel award for young researchers

Catch up opportunities

From time to time we actually miss opportunities which are in our networks. Because we have not updated each other for a while. Few years pass, and then we in some way find out that we have collaboration or partnership opportunity. Because we found out when we happened to meet at conference, workshop, or in some other way.

Catching up by “what has happened since last time we spoke?” is a source of opportunities. Maybe directly, maybe indirectly because we have some new contact that matches your activity. We just did not think about connecting.

So meeting is good way. Online tools are great nowadays. We do not always need to meet. Making a post on LinkedIn is also useful to spread information.

Do not wait for opportunities, start running (=be active) and catch them up.
